Typhoon Ragasa is heading to Vietnam, after it left 17 people dead in Taiwan.

About two million people were evacuated in mainland China, on Wednesday.  The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said strong winds left many fallen trees and a landslide in the Central and Western Districts.

Trees collected were sent to a temporary storage facility, and later sent to landfills for disposal.

Mopping up is underway, by the Fire Services Department (FSD), the Highways Department (HyD), and the Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO).

The system, which meteorologists say has weakened, is now moving to Vietnam.

It started as a storm on the 18th of September, east of the Philippines and intensified to Category 5, in Taiwan on September 22, over the weekend.

Wind speed was measured at a maximum of 270 kilometres per hour, damaging property and crops.
