The Community Policing Forum in Benoni (CPF) rescued a driver whose jeep fell in a flooded waterway.
Boksburg north, Benoni and Brakpan received hail and heavy rain, following a heatwave, last week.
Residents shared pictures on social media, of the damage left by a storm which lasted about 2 hours.
In addition to pictures of hail and heavy rain, there are also pictures of fallen trees in Eveleigh, Boksburg.
A resident, Anche Moore, said the rain was much needed, although it caused damage in some areas.
