Mohammed Abdool is Transnet’s Chief Executive of the National Ports Authority (TNPA).
His appointment was made public on Friday.
He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a Certified Director at the Institute of Directors SA.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of the Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting, University of Johannesburg, a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA), University of Johannesburg, and an Advanced Certificate in Financial Management.
He has also completed executive leadership programmes at IMD Business School, Switzerland and the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria.
His extensive experience includes serving in senior roles at Transnet’s Chief Financial Officer of TNPA for over 16 years.
He also acted as Chief Executive of TNPA.
