Two men aged 28 and 36, were arrested for theft of livestock on Sunday, in Philipstown, in the Northern Cape.
The police said in a statement, they acted on information received about the two, who were seen selling meat in Lukhanyisweni, Philipstown.
Upon verifying information, the cops found them red handed, in possession of sheep carcasses.
They could not provide a satisfactory explanation regarding ownership of the meat.
That is when they were arrested and charged for stock theft and are expected to appear at the Philipstown Magistrate’s Court soon.
