The Lower Thukela Water Works will be shutdown for 12 hours, during maintenance, on Tuesday, 2 December 2025.
uMngeni-uThukela Water Board said leaks were discovered on the distribution pipeline.
This has negatively affected storage levels at the command reservoir.
“It is therefore necessary to implement these repairs timeously to mitigate the risk of water supply interruptions during the upcoming holiday season” said the water board in an update.
Affected areas are in the Ilembe District Municipality -Sakhamkhanya, San Souci, Shekembula, Ohlange, Mdlebeni, Lindelani, Shakaville, Zamani, Darnall, Zinkwazi, Blythedale, Stanger Manor, Warrenton, Doesburg, KwaDukuza Central Business District, Glenhills, Nyoniyamanzi Lot 16 and Gledhow North.
