Three men were arrested by the Vala Umgodi teams, on Saturday, the 23rd August 2025, in a mine near Hennenman.
Police said in a statement, the suspects were caught red handed, coming f4om underground, in possession of antiretroviral (ARV) medication and mining equipment, indicating their involvement in illegal mining activities.
They are between the ages of 36 and 40, emerged from underground.
Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, said in a related operation, on the same day, four more were arrested in Allanridge, Virginia, and Thabong. They were found in possession of illicit cigarettes.
