Africa’s Manufacturing Market Intelligence & Network Analysis (AMMINA), was launched at the African Healthcare Manufacturing Trade Exhibition and Conference (AHMTEC), in Accra, Ghana.

It is an initiative of the African Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), developed from an initial curation by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It aims to strengthen regional innovation, industrial growth and health sovereignty.

AMMINA is a data-driven platform that offers detailed insights into Africa’s health products manufacturing ecosystem.

It also provides comprehensive information on manufacturers, product portfolios, capacities and market trends.

The CDC said “it is a strategic tool for African Union Member States, investors, and partners to make informed decisions that support policy, investment, and collaboration.”

It features over 700 manufacturers and 2,500 health products across 18 African Union Member States.
