An Oversight Committee of the City of Johannesburg, is visiting the Lilian Ngoyi Reconstruction site, following an underground rapture, 16 months ago.
The Sec79 committees spoke to the contractor and the Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) to fast tracking project management methods to complete the rehabilitation of Lilian Ngoyi street.
Other discussions during the visit were loss of revenue, security concerns around the site, structural integrity of surrounding buildings.
Also on site, is the City of Joburg Gauteng Roads and Transport Department, ArriveAlive.co.za, Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG), the Johannesburg Development Agency’s MMC Kenny Kunene and Executive Mayor, Dada Morero.
