Grindrod announced the intention to appoint Raymond Ndlovu as Chairperson and Hubert Brody as Lead Independent Director in due course, in due course.

Cheryl Carolus, the current Chairperson, is expected to retire on the 11th of June 2026. 

The company said the transition happened at a time when the completion of its non-core disposals supports the next phase of focused growth across core businesses.

Other independent, non-executive directors, starting on the 1 May 2026, are  Hubert Brody, Mary Bomela, Themba Mkhwanazi and Naidene Ford-Hoon.
