The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) announced the restoration of water is underway, in most parts of the City.
The Metro also said the initial causes of the disruptions were resolved, and that the water system is in recovery.
But full restoration is expected to take longer, with some reservoirs critically low, including the Chelsea Reservoir – 2%, the Gelvandale Reservoir, the Straundale Reservoir and the Greenbushes Reservoir.
Areas awaiting supply, are Motherwell, parts of Helenvale, the Lower Gelvandale, Algoa Park, Zwide, Soweto-on-Sea, Veeplaas, KwaZakhele, Missionvale, Baywest, Rowallan Park, Sherwood, Lorraine, Ben Kamma, Beverly Grove, Theescombe / Lake Farm / Colleen Glen, Hunters Retreat, Kabega Park, Morningside, Linton Grange, Framesby, Malabar, Sunridge Park, Westering, Cotswold, Fernglen, Van Stadens Gorge, KwaNobuhle, Thornhill, Greenbushes, St Albans, Colleen Glen and Kuyga.
