The Fire in Moolmanshoek is 90% contained.
This is according to Jan de Villiers, Manager of the Imperani Fire Protection Association (FPA).
He said in an update this morning, on the fourth day since the fire began, that although contained, there is a small fire still burning on the Southern side on the mountains.
The Working on Fire teams, worked through the night and began mop up operations on Wednesday morning.
He said, as at 6am, on Wednesday morning, the landowner would extinguish the fire with his own resources.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued fire danger warnings over the extreme North-Eastern part of the North West, extreme north-western part of KZN and Limpopo, for Wednesday, the 28th August 2024.
