Cold weather has led to multiple outages across the country.

Eskom said this is the case in parts of KwaZulu Natal- Empangeni, Melmoth, Inkosi Mtubatuba, Ulundi, Hluhluwe, Jozini, Nongoma, Eshowe, Bergville, Ladysmith, Ingagane, Ixopo, Paulpietersburg, Kokstad, Cedarville, Franklin, Umzimkhulu, Bulwer, Lamington, Harding, Ingeli, Paddock, Edendale and Riverdale. 

Outages in Gauteng are in parts of Soweto, Jabavu, Mofolo South, Molapo, Moroka, Diepsloot Extensions 4, 5 and 7, Meadowlands Zones 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and Soteba, Pimville Zones 5 and 6, Klipsruit, CWJ, Dobsonville Extensions 1, 2, 4, 5, Jabavu, Jabulani, Meadowlands Zones 1, 4–10, Old Dobsonville, Sgodiphola, Soteba and Zondi.

There is also interrupted electricity supply in Chartwell and Nooidgedacht.

Eskom said about 300,000 customers in various areas of the Eastern Cape, have interrupted supply, due to heavy rains and strong wind.

Affected areas are Mthatha, Qumbu, Tsolo, Elliotdale, Matatiele, Mount Frere, Bizana, Mount Ayliff, Elliot, Komani, Dutywa, Butterworth and Cofimvaba.
