A new outbreak of foot and mouth disease was reported on a commercial farm, in Moqhaka, in the Free State.
The Department of Agriculture said the farm was immediately placed in quarantine, on the 08th July 2025.
This bring the number of cases reported in five provinces to 270 cases.
About 249 of the total cases remain unresolved.
Of these, 40 are in the Eastern Cape, about 191 in KZN, 32 in Gauteng, 4 in the North West and 3 in Mpumalanga.
