High Voltage infrastructure upgrades and maintenance is expected to begin this coming Saturday.
Residents to be affected by electricity supply outages are in parts of Green Point and Muizenberg.
The City of Cape Town said areas in close proximity to those under maintenance, may also be affected.
The City also said an outage duration is an estimation and therefore, restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the high voltage infrastructure work.
“Our teams will work as quickly as possible to complete the work within the communicated times.
Should the power not be restored within the communicated timeframe, residents are advised to check the City’s official communication channels, including the City’s social media channels, or contact the Call Centre before logging a service request in relation to the planned upgrade work.”
Residents are asked to also switch off appliances and inverters, ahead of the power being restored, to reduce the chance of system overload and tripping.
