A summit for small and medium business owners is well underway in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
Eugene Johnson, Speaker of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, said the summit aims to get the Municipality interacting with business, to implement practical solutions in partnership.
“Small businesses and entrepreneurs continue to be the backbone of our economy. Today’s session reflects the real issues faced by entrepreneurs on the ground. As the Municipality, we acknowledge these concerns and reaffirm our commitment to engage, interact and resolve.”
Various organizations have shared messages of support including the National Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC), The African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA), The SA Informal Traders Association, the Ibayi Small Business Chamber and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA).
