A pipeline which supplies about 30 megaliters of water to uMlaas Road Reservoirs, will undergo emergency repairs as from Thursday, the 27th March at 6am, until Saturday, the 29th March at 10pm.
The 53 pipeline, supplies water from the DV Harris Waterworks to the uMlaas Road Reservoirs.
It will be shut temporarily during repairs, meant to seal joints after a significant failure was found.
During this time, the Midmar Waterworks will continue to supply water to the uMlass Road Reservoirs via the 61 pipeline.
The 53 pipeline supplies the uMgungundlovu District and parts of the outer west of the eThekwini Metro. Nodes that might be affected are Point M, Umbumbulu Reservoir, Eston, Mid-Illovo and the Mkhambatini area.
