13 people were treated for smoke inhalation, after a fire broke out on Thursday, at COP30’s main conference venue, in Belem, Brazil.
A joint media statement from the COP30 Presidency and UN Climate Change, said the venue (Blue Zone) was temporarily closed, while the fire Department conducts assessments.
However, the Green Zone remains open and activities continue as scheduled.
