Gauteng Provincial Joint Committee (JOC) said in a statement spikes and rocks thrown at cars were reported on the following major routes:
N1 – JHB South
N12 – JHB South and East Rand
N17 – JHB South and East Rand
N4 – Gauteng North
Residents and visitors to Gauteng are requested to be vigilant while travelling on these routes at night.
“Maintain safe speeds and distances so avoidable actions can be taken if necessary. If you are a victim of these incidents do not stop in dark or unsafe areas or on the side of the road. Travel to safer, lit up places such as garages to assess the situation.”
