It is day 5 of a fire that has engulfed about 700 hectares in Gansbaai, in the Western Cape.
Ald Archie Klaas, the Executive Mayor of Overstrand Municipality announced, on Wednesday, two Huey helicopters would assist ground crews from National Cadet Corps (NCC).
The helicopters are from Leading Edge Aviation and arrived in Gansbaai on Tuesday to assist with ongoing firefighting efforts.
Klaas also said in a statement, a team from Eskom, is on site to assess local electricity supply.
Grootbos Road was reopened on Tuesday.
