An Investment Summit is underway at Badplaas Forever Resort, at the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality.
The summit planned to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors.
Mbuso Magubane, Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli, said “this Investment Summit is about creating a conducive environment for collaboration between government and the private sector. It is about fostering inclusive economic growth, creating jobs, and ensuring that wealth generated within the municipality circulates locally to benefit our people. Dubai was once a desert, but through strategic investments, it became a global tourism hub — we can achieve similar transformation through commitment and collaboration.”
The summit was attended by potential investors, government departments -CoGTA, DEDET, SALGA, MTPA.
Magubane also said the summit aimed to create a platform for robust dialogue around building the local economy, improving service delivery, and fostering investment opportunities that will drive job creation and sustainable development within the municipality.
