The “Green Season” is underway. This term refers to the annual stranding of subadult green turtles, peaking from September to February.
These turtles are often found in shallower waters, close to human activity, which increases their risk of hazards.
The Dyer Foundation has reminded everyone who walks, fishes, runs, or participates in beach clean-ups, to keep an eye out for stranded turtles.
