Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has received an unqualified audit for 6 years in succession.
In the last 2 years, there were no findings of irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure.

Speaking at the recently held Strategic Planning Session, this week, Thoko Sigwaza, Chief Director of Institutional Oversight, at the Department of Water and Sanitation, said “LNW needs to pride itself for its turnaround within a short space of time, given the negative history and allegations of maladministration.”

Dr Nndweleni Mphephu, Chairperson of LNW, said, “we should not rest on our laurels. While this achievement is encouraging to both management and staff and has renewed the morale at LNW, nothing wilts faster than laurels. The challenge ahead is to make LNW an employer of choice, an epitome of excellence, and change the lives through the provision of reliable, sustainable, bulk water services.”

LNW is holding a 3-day strategic session to reflect and propel the organisation to the next level in terms of governance, non-financial and financial performance, and organizational structure.

Lepelle provides bulk water to 56% of local authorities in Limpopo.
