Heavy rainfall measured at 100-150mm, on Friday, has led to flooding on the R33 Limpopo and parts of the N11 road from Tuinplaas.

The Limpopo Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA) warned residents to be on high alert as the Province (western parts) experiences disruptive rainfall.

The Department has advised residents in affected areas, not cross flooded roads, swollen streams and where rising water levels are observed, they are urged to move to high ground for their safety.

The South African Weather Services (SAWS) has warned against more disruptive rains over most parts of Limpopo, excluding the North, Mpumalanga, and the Lowveld (level 4) on Saturday.
