Tensions continue post the Thembisa shutdown, for electricity and other services.
Some residents were refusing to leave Bolani Street, in Moletsane, continuing protests since the 22nd July 2025.
The Gauteng Provincial Joint Committee (JOC), said law enforcement is on site to improve travelling.
Several protests also continue, along the Eiselen Street near the Daveyton Mall, east of Johannesburg .
Law enforcement and security are diverting motorists to alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
Elsewhere in Gauteng, protesters have gathered at the UAE Embassy in Pretoria, regarding an intervention in ongoing tensions in the Midddle East.
