Investment pledges in Limpopo have increased to over R170 billion, up from last year’s target of R120 billion.
The investments were tallied on the last day of the Limpopo Investment Conference, held at the Ranch Hotel in Polokwane, until Friday, the 31st October 2025.
Dr Phophi Ramathuba, Premier of Limpopo, acknowledged the investment pledges received in 2025 from diverse sectors, assuring people of Limpopo that the pledged funds would be utilised to boost the provincial economy, create jobs and stimulate business opportunities.
She also said “our strategic location provides us with the opportunity to facilitate trade within SADC, which greatly increases our GDP as a country”
The investor pledges announced by Tshitereke Matibe, MEC of Economic Development and the Environment (LEDET),at the 2025 Investment Conference are Eskom (R35 Billion), Pelegreen energy (R10.6 Billion), ANDO. (R16.8 Billion), Khavhu Blue Energy pty Ltd (R5.5 Billion), Moolman Group (5 Billion), Mzansi Enegy (3 Billion), CGN (1.1 Billion), Thugela (400 Million), Badirammogo Water Association (R25 Billion), Lepelle Northern Water (R25 Billion), KSL Group (R1.2 Billion), Mphaphuli (R500 Million), Mulenzhe Trust (R400 million), Joe Makwame (R450 Million), MHD (R400 Million), Kinetic Group (R10.6 Billion), Valtera (R7.8 Billion), Southern Paalladium (R7.3 Billion), Basat Africa (R600 Million), KSL Group (R1.2 Billion), Funani Game Lodge (50 Million), Atrium Hotel (R35 Million), Limpopo Provincial Government (R7.5 Billion), Sanral (R8.46 Billion), Lepelle Northen Water (R475 Million), ANDO (R485 Million), Sentishe (R20 Million).
Dr Kgosientso Ramokgopa, Minister of Electricity and Energy, spoke on the topic of ‘Powering a Climate-Smart Limpopo: Energy Security and Green Industrialisation for Inclusive Growth.’
The Province plans to scale up on renewable energy to 1,500 Megawatts (MW) by 2030 and manufacture new electric vehicles (NEV).
