Two suspects were arrested, in Malvern, on Monday this week, with copper worth about R850,000.

The figure was confirmed by members of the SAPS Ethekwini District Infrastructure Task Team, who arrested the two.

The copper weighed a total of 861 kilograms.

The suspects were charged with tampering with essential economic infrastructure and possession of suspected stolen property.
