Water levels at Soshanguve L and Lotus reservoirs are significantly low.
The City of Tshwane said, as a result Rand Water was requested to investigate by physically verifying the pressures on their system.
Areas supplied by the tower, experiencing low pressure to no water, are Soshanguve L, Extension, Meetseng Primary School, Phuthanang Primary School, Thutong Junior Secondary School, Mallmansthal High School, Arethabeng Primary School and Maria Rantho Clinic.
The City has requested residents to use water sparingly.
Areas supplied by the Lotus Reservior that are likely to experience low pressure to no water, are Fort 646JR, Pretoria Town, Pretoria Town lands, Fort west x04, Fort west x05 and Lotus gardens x02.
Bloemfontein North
Parts of Bloemfontein Northern areas with little to no water
Vaal Central Water said in a notice on Saturday, parts of Bloemfontein areas such as Thabanchu, Botshabelo and Excelsior, have little to no water.
This is due to emergency repairs at Rustfontein Water Treatment Works’ filter plant.
Vaal Central Water said repairs were already underway on Saturday.
Koukamma
The Misgund water supply scheme completed
Amatola Water announced the completion of the of the Misgund Water Supply Scheme on Friday.
The project is expected to secure water supply to the Misgund community by constructing essential bulk water infrastructure.
The project involved several key components, including the installation of raw water storage tanks, the construction of a control building and electrical equipment. In addition, a water pump station was constructed, alongside a prefabricated steel reservoir with a capacity of 300kl.
The project also included the installation of a 200 mm diameter bulk supply system and the modification of existing bulk water mains, connecting all current boreholes to the available Water Treatment Works.
In a statement, Amatola Water said it is pleased to report that the project is now 100% complete.
