Sandton
The National Union of Mine Workers (NUMSA) is marching to the U.S. Consulate in Sandton, Johannesburg, to reject Donald Trump’s imperialist agenda and to defend the right of nations to be independent and sovereign.
The march is in protest of the US abduction of President Maduro of Venezuela, recently. This is just one of at least a hundred similar protests held globally against the US’ decision. Other protests were in the US -Manhattan, Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami.
Sebokeng
The memorial service of the learners who died in a car accident en route to school in Vanderbijlpark, got underway on Friday, at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Ground, in Sebokeng.
Funeral services are held across the Vaal on Saturday.
The learners are Buhle Radebe, Bokamoso Mokhobo, Sibongile Madonsela, Leano Moiloa, Lesego Sefatsa, Letlotlo Katlego Makwe, Ofentse Jayden Vinger, Lindokuhle Mabaso, Pheello Motaung, Puleng Maphalla, Naledi Motsapi, Bohlale Lekekela, Thato Moetjie and Sagwadi Mathe.
