The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Fire Services said the fire in Dassieshoek was contained on Sunday afternoon before 5pm.
The fire started in the area of Dassieshoek just above the cemetery outside Robertson, on Sunday.
“Despite difficult circumstances provided by the strong wind, teams were able to contain both fire lines. Fire crew and ground teams will stay in the area to continue with monitoring and mopping-up activities.”
