The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was refurbished, to bring R2.3 billion to the city.

The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) launched the upgraded World of Windows facility, on Friday.

The facility is now open to conferences, exhibitions, and community-driven events.

Bassie Kamana, Mayoral Committee Member (MMC) for Economic Development, Tourism and Agriculture, said collaborative efforts of stakeholders are key to positioning Nelson Mandela Bay as a premier destination for tourism, investment, and global events.

Raaziq Poole, Executive Stadium Manager, said “everything you see here was completed by local suppliers from Nelson Mandela Bay – from design and manufacturing to installation. This is a proudly local project, rooted in our community and driven by our shared ambition to make the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium truly Our Stadium,” he said.
